Eligibility: Nationwide scholarship contests that ask American youth to ponder the meaning of “American Values;” and what our freedoms cost; and what it means to be an American. High school students (grades 9th through 12th) are invited to submit an essay or a video based on a selected theme. A scholarship is awarded to the student whose essay or video best meets the criteria established for the competition.
Three essay scholarships are offered each year with deadlines usually around March/April, Independence Day and Veterans Day. Guidelines for each contest are listed online.

Award: Essay: $5,000.

Video: $10,000.
