Deadline: The 2016 Siemens Competition will close Tuesday, September 22, 2016.

Eligibility: Promotes excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects in mathematics, science, engineering and technology or in combinations of these disciplines. Open to high school students who are in good standing and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Teams may have two or three members and do not need to include a senior. Judging criteria include creativity, field knowledge, comprehensiveness, interpretation, literature review, scientific importance, future work, clarity of expression and presentation. Funded by Siemens Foundation and administered by the College Board.

Regional Winners: $3,000/$6,000* national
1st Place: $100,000*
2nd Place: $50,000*
3rd Place: $40,000*
4th Place: $30,000*
5th Place: $20,000*
6th Place: $10,000*
*divided equally among team members
